The fabulousness never ends…

Dear Diary: Fashion’s Night Out started out as a must-see stop for me at the Giorgio Armani boutique to hear a special reading by Rosie O’Donnell from “Love, Loss, and What I Wore,” a new play by Nora Ephron and Della Ephron, based on the book by Ilene Beckerman. The evening instead turned into my own version of loving, loss, and what I wore!

I have to admit that unless it’s embedded in my brain from some cosmic cryptoid, there is a very good chance that I will end up at the wrong address on the wrong date. Starting my evening out with all good intentions downtown, I found myself weighing through the gang of girls in too short dresses and fake-bake tans making their way to MeatPa events and who filled every taxi as I tried to head uptown. In the nick of time, I finally arrived at the Armani store.

But it was the wrong Armani store!

The fashion would have to be amazing. Anything with Chanel in the title must be genius.

But what’s more genius and relevant to updating your look is the very simple and understated glamour of director Anne Fontaine and star Audrey Tautou worn at the Los Angeles premier of “Coco Before Chanel”. Both woman have mastered basic black that is anything but boring in a timeless style that is gorgeous on a woman of any age.

I’m not loving the math on this one…

If there was anyone who could redo 80’s style at its super fun best it would be Patricia Fields– some of my best stripe tops came from her shop back then. If there was ever someone whose present out beauties her past it is Sarah Jessica Parker.

From yesterday’s first day of filming Sex and the City 2 in New York, there have been some paparazzi photos leaked of a very polished and lovely looking SJP in her role as Carrie.

80’s rewind, totally updated eyewear that’s crystal clear…

It’s a tough choice. Do I love the round 80’s eyeglass shape. Or do I love the the clear frame?

I’d say it’s a double-whammy on cool sunglasses.

Sienna Miller was spotted the the NYC premiere of “The September Issue” sporting clear sunglasses with a slightly tinted lens. We all think that you short sport some transparent frames too. Round if it flatter you, more Wayfarer-inspired, if not.
