The First Lady knows how to make the fashion dreams of young designers happen

It was a stunning morning at the Smithsonian today for Jason Wu and Prabal Gurung.

First Lady Michelle Obama donated her chiffon and Swarovski crystal Inaugural Gown designed by Jason Wu to the Smithsonian for their new “A First Lady’s Debut” exhibit. The exhibit features 11 gowns worn by first ladies from Mamie Eisenhower to Michelle Obama which will be on view as of on view beginning tomorrow.

Mrs. Obama wore a white with gray watercolor print sheath dress by Prabal Gurung for the occasion. Gurung tweeted, " 'American Dreams' : it is still a reality. I am beyond excited and thrilled. Thank you Mrs.O"

Thank you Mrs O. for supporting another brilliant young fashion designer!
