Stefani Germanotta at the Bitter End in NYC
We all thought that the entire world has seen these early Lady Gaga videos, but are constantly amazed to discover that so many have not.
Before there were the outrageous couture costumes, the high budget "Telephone" video, and a whole lot of thought to personal branding, Lady Gaga was Stefani Germanotta. She was a very talented singer and pianist with not a very terribly distinctive look other than looking like any girl, every girl, anywhere.
The question is would she have made her enormous impact in the music world as a stringy haired brunette with no discernible fashion style? Maybe not as easily or as quickly.
We're not asking you to turn yourself into some fantastical diva like Lady Gaga, unless as Andre Leon Talley says, "you are Lady Gaga."
Take a peek at early Lady Gaga before she became the new diva of pop in her early videos below. Think about the attention paid to create her image, which would be fair to say has soared over most other recent pop stars.
Then, we ask you to please polish up your edges because you never know who is watching...

We stand corrected- the videos had it spelled as "Stephanie"
We stand corrected- the videos had her name spelled as "Stephanie"
Spelled correctly, first album when undiscovered was called STEFANI so..
Well, she completely gave up her individuality for fame.
Her messages make no sense.
Looks Wonderful.

You mean "Norah Jones"? No, not really. Teachers can be very supportive when they want to be. Her voice isn't exceptional with her little band either. I guess I am confused; she always says she was different from birth in her fashion. I see a person totally created by a company?
cool!!
Of course, anyone who gets himself bumped into this video probably will get surprised with how Stefani turned into Lady GaGa, but what I was amazed of was not the Image formed but the transition itself. To submerge yourself to a transition that completely builds you up into someone you covet to be takes a great measure of courage, which, at times, no one even (by means of identity,) survives. This is just a mark that a girl like Stefani possesses a gifted fate, on that she could be proud of. That fate, is Lady GaGa. B)
