Mara Hoffman Fall 2013 Mara Hoffman Fall 2013 Runway Review: If this is Fall 2013 in the eyes of Mara Hoffman, then we all should consider heading south of the border once the cold weather starts to set in! Hoffman, the queen of quirky and pretty prints, showed a brilliantly colored, airy collection at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in New York that was more Summer than Fall in feeling; certainly a feeling we all long for when it's freezing.  >> MORE: FASHION SHOWS AND RUNWAY REVIEWS Mara Hoffman Fall 2013 The huge scale prints laced with peacocks, and geometric patterns had a strong Mayan vibe radiating from them.  The vibrant colors looked outstanding paired together, but if you're more hesitant to that, anything can be

Do you have the body for it? Herve Leger Fall 2013 Runway Review and Fashion Show Trends

Herve Leger Fall 2013 Calling all hot bodies… Herve Leger Fall 2013 Runway Trends & Review: As always, Herve Leger brings the sexpot out of fashion and steams up the runway with the Fall 2013 collection seen in New York at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week.  Lots of signature bondage and for Fall we get the addition of sequins and beading in sexy, bodycon patterning.  And it appears the midriff trend is still carrying on...keep up the abs classes ladies! >> MORE: FASHION SHOWS AND RUNWAY REVIEWS Herve Leger Fall 2013 As seen on multiple runways we have the addition of a creamy white amongst deep, rich greens, blood reds, and blacks.  I love the way this freshens up the Fall dressing mentality.  The swirly prints

Rebecca Minkoff runway trends fall 2013
Rebecca Minkoff Fall 2013 Rebecca Minkoff Fall 2013 Runway Review: Rebecca Minkoff makes upcoming Fall 2013 a funky, colorful, well-structured collection for the urban woman as shown at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in New York.  Black and grey balance the collections bright yellows, pinks, teals, and whites and not a single look seems dull and dreary; as we know Novemeber can get. >> MORE: FASHION SHOWS AND RUNWAY REVIEWS Leather and leather quilting has been allover the runways the past couple days and Minkoff is no exception.  Fabric mixing is another trend that seems unstoppable, and why would it be, the boundries are endless when you can pair tweed, fur, leather and boucle all in one piece - perfect for the bold yet maybe indecisive woman!  A must-have, absolutely must-have,

Nicholas K Fall 2013 Fashion Show Photos

Nicholas K Fall 2013 Key Styling: Edgy asymetrical  pieces in an urban palette of black, fatique green, dusty sage with a fashion take on utilitarian. In their words…  Nicholas K Fall 2013: For FALL/WINTER 2013 the sibling design team of Nicholas Kunz and Christopher Kunz pulled inspiration from the époque of the Arctic explorations in the late 19th to early 20th century. >> MORE: FASHION SHOWS AND RUNWAY REVIEWS The unforgiving landscape, one of the regions furthest from the warmth of the sun, surprisingly yields an array of tones, textures, colors, and moods. Into the depths of the ice-capped oceans spears of light ignite the deep blue and wild green aura of the swaying vegetation clinging to the grey barren earth. Above the white ice-plateaus reaching to the

Nicole Miller Fall 2013 Runway Review and Fashion Show Trends

Nicole Miller Fall 2013 Nicole Miller Fall 2013 Runway Review: Nicole Miller gives a dark, vintage and menswear driven presentation for Fall 2013 at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week that ceratinly puts one in the spirit for those cold, wintery months ahead.  The line was black on black on black with some hits of color and cozy grandma-inspired prints which added a sweet nostalgia to the hard edged collection.  It seems we will keep dressing like the boys in blazers, crisp pants, and pencil skirts, but these versions come with some subtle colorblocking and fabric mixing - elements that reign supreme for Fall 13. >> MORE: FASHION SHOWS AND RUNWAY REVIEWS Nicole Miller Fall 2013 >>MORE: Nicole Miller Nicole Miller Fall 2013  The vintage upholstry-like prints add the needed feminine touch to the very

Best Outerwear- Fashion Week Street Style & Runway, Day One
Best Outerwear- Fashion Week Street Style & Runway, Day One Get the look, wear it now: Outerwear runway and street style trend report from the sidewalks of New York Fashion Week and the catwalk of Edun and BCBG  Baby it's cold outside! It's freezing February during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in New York and we are previewing Fall 2013; as you can imagine outerwear is everywhere from the runway to the street. When it comes to coats and jackets, lots of menswear inspired pieces, an overkill of fur, (no pun intended), colorblocking, motorcycle jackets, and oversize fits don't seem to be going out of style anytime soon!  -- Alix Kivlin >> MORE:  RUNWAY & STREET STYLE TRENDS and FASHION SHOWS, RUNWAY REVIEWS Photo gallery after the jump… >> SHOP

BCBGMaxAzria Fall 2013 Runway Review and Fashion Show Trends

BCBGMaxAzria Fall 2013 BCBGMaxAzria Fall 2013 Runway Review: A hard rock gypsy walked the runway of the BCBGMaxAzria Fall 2013 show at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in New York. I have a strong feeling the boho gypsy vibe will carry a large presence for Fall 2013, and BCBG keeps a tough edge to the overall look with quilted leather, colorblocked fur, and sexy leather boot/leggings.  The softness of our gypsy girl is seen in delicate laser cut-outs and off-whites with large scale embroideries. >> MORE: FASHION SHOWS AND RUNWAY REVIEWS The deep colors true to autumn carry the line, that ox blood red continues to be strong, and here we see a lot of creamy whites - could this be the new black?! Probably not...but

Libertine Spring 2013 A Fun Mix Of Ethereal and Wild

Libertine Spring 2013 Runway Review: The Spring 2013 Libertine collection was a like stepping through the looking glass into a colorful world of smashed kalidescopes and coming out covered in fairy dust!  A fun mix of ethereal and funky, vintage boudoir and quirky, tame and wild.  I think this may cater more to our Western edge girls over the East Coast black-out brigade, but I say work these colors wherever you can, because it truly makes fashion fun! >> MORE: FASHION SHOWS AND RUNWAY REVIEWS  There is every color under the rainbow, and they are all swirled together into this fantastic mess, with huge prints and clunky accessories it's a real bohemian chic statement kaer for Spring.  I love the dresses and the lightweight layering.  And

Nanette Lepore Spring 2013 Color Splash With Every Body Shape In Mind

Nanette Lepore Spring 2013 Runway Review: Spring 2013 has Nanette Lepore written allover it with splashes of color, classical-gone-psychedelic prints, and killer swimwear capsule. The bright peaches and pinks, against jade green and citron, balanced with and oyster grey give this line outstanding Spring potential!  Flirty and modern make a good mix here with cut-out neckline, zip front dresses in oversize, bright baroque prints, black and white gingham plaids in cropped jackets and fitted ankle pants, and short, waist cinched silhouettes. >> MORE: FASHION SHOWS AND RUNWAY REVIEWS  The faded effect on the prints caught my eye as something new to look out for come Spring; this was also seen at Rebecca Minkoff, and both designers executed it well.  Instead of colorblocking, we have

Anna Sui Spring 2013 Playful, Solid Collection With De Rigueur Rocker Edge

Anna Sui Spring 2013 Runway Review:  The most darling, goth girls rocked down the runway to a Ramones soundtrack at Anna Sui's Spring 2013 show, reminding us that rock n' roll will never die and it can indeed be pretty.  Very pretty. Sui remains consistent with her edginess by showcasing ripped stockings, metal studs, leather, and chain collars; and the sweetness comes in a slightly Victorian dollhouse way with pale pinks, intricate laces, poofy dresses, and jade pendants.  Then let's throw in a splash of 'Where The Wild Things Are' - those adorable monster ear, bejeweled hats - and we have a wild collection! >> MORE: FASHION SHOWS AND RUNWAY REVIEWS Unless you are seventeen and living in the Lower East Side, I wouldn't recommend wearing

Reem Acra Spring 2013- Striking. Stunning. Sexy. Period.

Reem Acra  Spring 2013 Runway Review: Reem Acra showcases a stunning Spring 2013 collection of body conscious, evening wear that is nothing short of drop dead sexy.  All women should aspire this Spring to be escorted someplace with a need to wear one of these gowns; it will create a paparazzi following and have you feeling like a sexy Bond girl. A solid half of the collection had me lusting for pieces for upcoming Holiday season rather than airy Spring 2013; but the other half of buttery neutrals and pale, glittering sequins is perfect for Spring.  And I'm certainly not complaining, I would be thrilled to wear any of these dresses ANY time of the year, to be perfectly honest! >>
