Cushnie Et Ochs Spring 2013 Runway Is All About Clean Chic

Cushnie Et Ochs Spring 2013 Runway Review: Very clean, chic, minimalism seen at Cushnie Et Ochs.  And a splash of Blade Runner-esque necklines and cut-outs, which certainly can't go wrong on this uber modern Spring 2013 line. >>MORE: Cushnie Et Ochs There's no fuss, no bulk, no added nonsense to this collection which is something to be appreciated these days when the fashion market is so saturated with designers who tend to one-up each other with how many studs or chains or sequins they can fit on a single garment.  In this case we are dealing with white, black, sea green and a touch of deep purple - that's it. An excellent, close fit goes a long way when dealing with such

BCBG Max Azria Fashion Show Photos & Runway Review Spring 2013

BCBGMaxAzria  Spring 2013 Runway Review: BCBG is famously known for their young, contemporary, and often color blocked party dresses, but this season strays a bit from this mold and I am not certain it was their best move. Colors are more neutral and washed out and black casts a big shadow over this Spring 2013 line.  No, not your usual brights and bold blocks of color covering the airy pleated chiffons and crepes.  Not this season. There's a strong hint of Herve Leger influence, this could be expected as it's the sister line to BCBG, but I prefer keeping them separate! >> MORE: FASHION SHOWS AND RUNWAY REVIEWS Don't worry girls, not all is to be lost!  Think sexier and edgier, closer fits, and

Narciso Rodriguez Fall 2012 Runway Review

Narciso Rodriquez fw 12 Runway Review: Body conscious, well-tailored and asymmetric dresses with expert seaming and unusual folding and pleating are what really draw my attention to this collection... The fall 2012 Narciso Rodriguez collection was a seamless continuation of what we saw in pre-fall with structured outerwear, oversized and voluminous silhouettes, asymmetrical draping and folding, seaming, and color blocking. Narciso Rodriquez fw 12 Very true to it's identity, the perfectly tailored, clean line is a home run.  The warm chestnut browns and smoky greys were kicked up with saturated oranges and chartreuse and balance of chunky tweeds paired with soft, shiny silks.  there is a moss / olive green that had me question the wearability against an array of skin tones,

Custo Barcelona Fall 2012 Runway Review

Custo Barcelona fw 12 Runway Review: Wild yet wearable, Custo sticks to its style roots and remains the collection to push your fashion boundaries The fall 2012 Custo Barcelona collection takes the brand's iconic textures, psychedelic colors and prints, and one of a kind designs to a new roughed up and tough level. At the same time it comes off as one of the most wearable, wild collections that I can recall. Lots of raw edges, pieced mixed fabrications that appear torn, zippers and moto styling, fringey boho pieces, and an endless supply of thick and slubby yarns. throw in some sequins and fur and you've got the exotic euro look down.  >> MORE: FASHION SHOWS AND RUNWAY REVIEWS Custo Barcelona fw 12

Betsey Johnson Runway Review & Backstage Fall 2012

Betsey Johnson F/W 2012 What a fun time you're bound to have at a Betsey Johnson show, and the fall 2012 show was no exception! Whether the clothes cater to your fashion aesthetic or not, the show itself is not one to be missed. On top of the pumping rock music and a colors-of-the-rainbow light show, you have massive scale bold prints, sequins, rhinestones, faux fur, tulle, bright saturated color, pink, pink, pink, and a heavy splash of cheetah. Sounds like a helluva party indeed! >> MORE: FASHION SHOWS AND RUNWAY REVIEWS Betsey Johnson F/W 2012 Although the line as a whole was a bit overwhelming and not wearable for everyone admittedly it's pieces pulled separately though, could add a great punch to

Tracy Reese Fall 2012 Runway Review & Fashion Show Photos

Tracy Reese fw 12
Tracy Reese fw 12 Runway Review: Tracy Reese gives us a colorful fall 2012 collection that balances strength with femininity with her use of punchy colors, large tropical prints, sturdy fabrics paired with draped silk, and silhouettes that accentuate the female shape. It's refreshing to see a fall collection that isn't dark and dreary, instead the saturated oranges, purples, aquas and yellows put a sunny spin on the cold months of the season. This line had some of the most wearable, flattering peplum shapes I have seen yet, because they are small and pieced in, more subdued so as to not appear like you have an extra 7lbs on your hips. The cropped peplum blazer and long, slim coats with a seam

Herve Leger Fall 2012 Runway Review and Photos

herve leger fw12 Runway Review: If you want a truly sexy LBD, you have come to the right designer. Sexy. Bondage. Need I say more about the Fall 2012 collection from Herve Leger?! There is not a chance, with all the leather straps, anatomical seaming, and skin-tight dense knits, that a woman can wear one of these slammin' dresses and NOT exude supreme sexiness. No way. This is the most bodycon one can get; besides the perfect fit there are cut-outs, cinched waists, and deep necklines that continue to drive the Herve Leger image of a total babe. The sophistication was amped up by a warm palatte of beiges, chestnut brown, with touches of metallic gold, a punch of red

The Charlotte Ronson Fall 2012 show had me already yearning for chilly autumn's return when it's yet to be spring! Nicholas K Fall 2012 Runway Review & Photos

nicholas k fall 2012 Runway Review: Heritage prairie inspiration with a dose of edge-- and some of the best outerwear around. Fall 2013 from Nicholas K. takes you to the wild west prairie days, roughed up with an ample amount of dark edginess to boot, and a dose of old-school 90's heroin chic played up with goth-ish hair dye. Sometimes a bit frightening! But not too terrifying, because the fabrications were flowy, easily draped on the body, and layered under soft furs and supple leathers which lends a needed soft side to the tough appeal of the overall look. A rich palette of black, heather grey, cool sepia tones, and sandy beige fit the mood. >> MORE: FASHION SHOWS AND RUNWAY REVIEWS The washed

BCBG Max Azria Fall 2012- Runway Review / Photos

Season after season BCBG stays true to it's many signatures with consistent color blocking and banding, fabric manipulation in the form of pleats and folding, luxe, draped fabrics and an array of neutrals punched up with panels of bright color. And while Fall 2012 didn't steer far from that formula, it still had a delightful freshness about it! >> MORE: FASHION SHOWS AND RUNWAY REVIEWS The long skirts with sheer pleated panels and horizontal bands of color were major items of the collection. BCBGMaxAzria fw12 The outerwear pieces that mixed leather and pieced in fur are destined to sell out. Jen Kao Spring 2012 fashion show

Runway Review Excerpt: Jen Kao reminds us of the unique creativity that can be toyed with in ready to wear dressing, that light spirit inspires us all to dress well and want to stand out in the crowd. The Spring 2012 collection was my first Jen Kao show, and not to be the last, as I was in awe by the creative beauty she brings to fashion and I found myself wanting several items from line.  This showcased fashion as a wearable art form with intricate cut-outs and seaming, checkerboard knits, printed chiffon ruffles and oragami headpieces complimenting the looks, although certainly not meant to be worn. >> MORE: FASHION SHOWS AND RUNWAY REVIEWS The  highly feminine silhouettes and a soft color palette made
