Michelle Obama wears what’s in the closet

First Lady Michelle Obama wore a flower printed Moschino pencil skirt to a breast cancer awareness event at the East Garden of the White House on the afternoon of October 23, 2009. This skirt is from the Spring/Summer 2009 collection

Take a style tip from the First Lady and make your wardrobe seasonless

Even Michelle Obama wears what’s at hand.

At a breast cancer awareness event at the East Garden of the White House today, Mrs. Obama wore a floral printed Moschino pencil skirt from the Spring/Summer 2009 collection. Heavens!

But how can Mrs. Obama pull off a spring floral skirt in the fall?

Easy.

Elie Tahari

The ground of the floral Moschino skirt is black, making the pink flower print an almost year round choice if styled the right way. A scoop neck black sweater continues the First Lady’s seasonless look.

As another styling alternative, we’d try a black silk blouse, black tights and booties to transition more into winter.

If you love the look but don’t have a floral skirt in your closet to fit the bill, try this Elie Tahari “Bennet” Sequined Floral Pencil Skirt for a more glam touch on the First lady’s style.
