Decorating the NYC skyline is no easy feat.
The new Burberry Americas headquarters on Madison Avenue is one of only six grand fathered signage locations in New York.
In honor of the official lighting of the 50 foot long logo, Mayor Bloomberg declared yesterday, Burberry Day and there was quite the fete in celebration of its official lighting last night.
It was definitely trench coat night as New York weather also paid homage to the British brand and its designer Christopher Bailey by providing a very London-ish mist over the rooftop party on what appeared to separate the downtown and uptown crowds with the coiffed gathering inside and the edgier outside watching the live performance of British band One Night Only! Nothing like some drizzle to separate the high-mainatance from the lower-maintance, all who looked fab just the same.
Celebs in attendance who rocked Burberry looks were Blake Lively, Penn Badgley, Claire Danes, Rose McGowen, Helena Christianson, Lilly Donaldson, Jason Long, Molly Sims, Carla Gugino, and others.
