In their words…
CALVIN KLEIN WOMEN'S COLLECTION BY FRANCISCO COSTA | FALL 2011 RUNWAY SHOW
Francisco Costa presented 34 looks to an audience which included Kate Bosworth, Zoe Saldana, and Kerry Washington who were all wardrobed in looks designed
by Mr. Costa.
Other notables in attendance and wardrobed in Calvin Klein Collection were Amanda Brooks, Fabiola Beracasa, Olympia Scarry, Tallulah Harlech, Lauren Remington Platt, Kathryn Neale, Yvonne Force Villareal, Sky Ferreira, Iris Apfel, and Chinese actress Lin Peng.
The show exclusively featured several new models on the runway, including Merethe, Svea, Mackenzie, and Colinne. Model Daphne Groeneveld opened the
show as she had done for the Spring 2011 Calvin Klein Collection runway show and supermodel Lara Stone – the current face of the women's Calvin Klein Collection brand — closed the show in a wheat metallic jacquard shift.
Mr. Costa described the new collection as pure with a youthful exuberance, a sporty vibe, and a fast pace. The silhouettes referenced mod influences
that intersect with details of the house, with fresh proportions. Fabrics were sleek and tactile in a willowy palette comprised of naturally subtle hues of truffle, wheat, vicuna, sandstone, white smoke, zinc, and mercury grey, with golden jacquards and silver details.
