Inspiration Girl | Globe-trekking style muse… Anouk is 22, from Rio de Janeiro, lives in Paris now.She studies fashion and works as a photography assistant. Her style is very eclectic, sometimes mixing her grandmother’s mink fur with latex punk boots, or Minnie Mouse ears with rock band T-shirts. She’ll wear a skirt pulled up to arm level, held with a leather belt. Her bracelets can be a mix of a pearl necklace with some concert fluorescent tag, and other oddities she can put her hands on. –Tinko Czetwertynski

Burberry Lights Up Manhattan Skyline

The English are coming have arrived... Few cities can compare to the magnificence of the iconic Manhattan skyline at night. Now visitors to New York and natives alike have a new jewel in the sky– Burberry! Decorating the NYC skyline is no easy feat. The new Burberry Americas headquarters on Madison Avenue is one of only six grand fathered signage locations in New York. In honor of the official lighting of the 50 foot long logo, Mayor Bloomberg declared yesterday, Burberry Day and there was quite the fete in celebration of its official lighting last night. It was definitely trench coat night as New York weather also paid homage to the British brand and its designer Christopher Bailey by providing

Amy Winehouse Clothing Line… Yup, it’s a fashion go!

Let’s think about this one… Amy Winehouse first pounced on the music scene with her amazing voice and unique and edgy punky fifties-flashback style. Then, all that sketchy stuff started happening and happening and happening. But I– we– do believe in second chances. Possibly even a third in some special cases. No matter how you look at it, Amy still rocks her image and personal life is meant to be, well, personal. So here we have it with the morning news from WWD, Amy Winehouse joins the ranks of a zillion other celebrities and gets her own fashion line! She is developing a fashion collection with London label PPQ, designed by Amy Molyneaux and Percy Parker, the design team who

I’ll Have What She’s Having: Madonna in menswear whites

Tailored, chic and an all white look you will want to try… I am not really a fan of photos of celebs taken when they are doing private things. But in Madonna’s case her life is like a breadcrumb trail in anticipation of her next great event. Seen leaving Saturday Kabbalah Services in New York this weekend, Madonna was spotted wearing an exceptional menswear look in traditional Kabbalah white. Too much of a fashionably good thing can be difficult to pull off. Both menswear can be tricky to wear without looking like a dragking and all white can be difficult to manage without looking like Nurse Ratchet, but Madonna knows how to get it right– timing and style should really

Retail Remedy: Topshop New York, An Inside Look at the newest cheap chic store in town

The fanfare, the fun, the frivolity, the fascination… I've finally had both the courage and time to make an inside trip to the brand-spanking new Topshop in New York to see what the greatest retail fuss in a long time is all about. It's been quite a while since I paid a visit to Topshop in London but do keep a media eye on its cutting edge trends, accessible pricing, and standing as a go-to Mecca for must-have cheap chic budget fashion. Topshop is nestled in the part of SoHo's lower Broadway that is sprinkled with major retail outposts to get the look for less like my favorites of Zara, Uniglo (picked up a Jean-Michel Basquiat T-shirt), H&M, Mango (the

Michael Jackson Auction: Thrilled!

The King of Pop up close, personal, and for sale… It is hard pressed to argue the creative genius of Michael Jackson. No doubt that he is rather Off the Wall. However, what is patterned Bad is what keeps us fascinated with the living legend himself and in want of more old school MTV. Michael Jackson’s showmanship and iconic performance costumes have created a lasting impression that through the years have proved to be both artistically and musically timeless. His personal life aside, the man is an amazing talent. Fast-forward two and a half decades later– my gosh it doesn't seem that long– and those MJ red military jackets have continued to loiter as a trendy fashion statement since last
