Working closely with the family whose duplex he was commissioned to renovate, D’Haene invigorated the space with decadent uses of color, quirky fine art, furniture and lighting, all of which blend in harmoniously with the subtle elegance of the space while at the same time bolstering it into an environment that feels light, airy and wholly livable.
The homeowner’s collection of fine art and furnishings boasts an impressive roster of influential names in design including chairs by Fernando and Humberto Campana, a pendant by the Bouroullec Brothers, an Andy Warhol silk screen and a pair of Cindy Sherman photos. – Naveed Hussain
