From what we can see the lingerie and accessories feature many of the hallmarks of Sonia Rykiel French style- stripes, playful jewel embellishments, and fun berets. The look is fresh and never over-stated, but always classic and oh so French.

For a bit of fashion history, “Sonia Rykiel is a true fashion icon who invented a signature style around femininity, Parisian chic and modernity. She has an attitude that inspires admiration among women of all ages around the world,” says H&M creative advisor Margareta van den Bosch.

The much anticipated collaboration of Sonia Rykiel with cheap chic powerhouse H&M is a two-part guest design series. On the runway tonight and in selected H&M stores on December 5, is the Sonia Rykiel for H&M lingerie and accessories collection. The second collection of knits for big and little girls arrives for Spring 10.
