“Craeft” Collection
Runway Review: Designer Tia Cibani ventured into a “realm that is rooted in the past yet reaches for the future, is what was describes in the Ports 1961 collection notes. A more accurate truism cannot be said of the fall 2010 collection.
Artisan-inspired touches are the most speculator in the “Craeft” Collection but the leaning to futuristic, yet time-honored shapes, which use the human body as its muse create a very distinctive collection that was full of many sculptural accents.
Most notable details were scuba, drape, 60′s shapes, and leather. I was particularly intrigued by the combination of tactile and sensual fabrics like slinky charmeuse, nubby to knotty knits, leather, and jersey. –S.H.
