Mara Hoffman Fall 2013

Mara Hoffman Fall 2013 Runway Review: If this is Fall 2013 in the eyes of Mara Hoffman, then we all should consider heading south of the border once the cold weather starts to set in! The huge scale prints laced with peacocks, and geometric patterns had a strong Mayan vibe radiating from them.  The vibrant colors looked outstanding paired together, but if you’re more hesitant to that, anything can be paired back to camel or black – you will still get the loud message out.  Perfectly placed, not too revealing cut-outs give some relief from all the patterning.

And huge cheetah intarsia sweaters are downright sexy, putting a new spin on the animal print craze.  In case you forgot it was Fall, there are a few outerwear pieces, all oversize and easy fitting without closures so you can wrap tight or let them drape.  Very key items include an enlongated v-neck sweater with geometric intarsia patterning around the neckline, a psychedelic long caftan with chest cut-out, and any of the cheetah sweaters.
