Jason Wu Spring 2013 Runway Review: It’s time to be thinking about your upcoming Fall wardrobe, stocking up on sweaters, boots, and the perfect outerwear; but save some of the budget, let it burn a hole in your pocket, because the best advice you are receiving is from me telling you must prepare yourself to buy as much of the Jason Wu Spring 2013 as possible when it hits the stores!! You may be cold and coat-less this winter, but you’ll thank me come Spring.

Edgy / old world. Bad-ass / vintage. A precious bombshell. It seems these things aren’t normally mixed, and if attempted the end results don’t marry well; but not with this Spring collection.
The balance is impeccable, tasteful, and truly stunning. The mix of geometric laces and leather (I am not referring to something seen on Cinemax), the perfect amount of peplum, holster-esque strappings and hardware, dainty metal studs used very sparingly, and the fun pop of candy pink (not in a Barbie way) all make this line equally elegant and chic.
And let’s discuss the most perfect collar size and shape shown here! It may sound trivial, but the petite collar is so feminine and modern, it can make or break a shirt. And leather pencil skirts and dresses trimmed with lace edging – so glam.

The beauty of line is that it can work on so many occasions – dates, the office, weddings, parties, and formal occasions. It’s versatile and extremely body flattering. So many exquisite back details mean you will make a fabulous entrance AND exit.
Sorry to say your budget will be blown on this line, but you will look so damn good – and feel so confident, and feminine, and sexy – it will make each credit card payment easy peasy! – Alix Kivlin
