Jenny Packham Spring 2013 Runway Review: An elegant array of all things sparkling and shimmering made their way out on to the mirrored runway for Jenny Packham’s Spring 2013 collection of gowns, sheaths, and an occasional dressy suiting.

The rhinestones, beading, and sequins were overwhelming but graceful due to their being paired with soft neutrals and faded sorbet colors.

For an evening event, anything formal, this woman is who to turn to as the entire collection has something catering to every age and taste level whether you want to show extra skin, extra shimmer, and a splash of color, or if you prefer more tasteful coverage, smaller beaded panels, and a warm shade of grey.

Peplums continue their march forward into our wardrobes for Spring, along with sweeping front slits, and oh, did I mention, the shine and sparkle! I can’t imagine what some of these dresses weigh, given the amount of beading and glitz, but well worth the weight because you will be the shining star in nearly any of these dresses! – Alix Kivlin
