London Fashion Week Trend Spotlight: Don’t you LOVE a Fashion Week trend that you can steal for yourself right now?
Well, there’s a Bloomsbury BoHo vibe for Burberry Fall 2014 and we’re into it’s fun rich hippie edge…
I don’t know about you but Sharon and I just love it when the runway has something that most of us are really wearing anyway. So many covet a good laid back BoHo look, and there’s no denying the popularity of stores like Anthropologie and Free People for feminine eclectic style.
And if full on printed regalia is too far a stretch for you, what about considering that one special piece with a vibrant coat or topper, or even a D.I.Y. style purse such as the hand painted floral bowler bags that walked the runway? After all, you could easily take an old leather belt and bag and update them with your own artisanal vision. And what’s better than that?
Take a trip to your local art supply store and stock up on paint to decorate a vintage bag from your collection with. And if that’s just not your cup of tea or if you’re short on time, think about adding one of these pieces to refresh your look.
>>> We pulled some similar styles in store now for you to style the BoHo look for less…
How about a plaid blanket coat like this one by MICHAEL MICHAEL KORS large plaid blanket coat that has the BoHo vibe but in a more sophisticated plaid?
Add some ethnic inspired embellishement with a colorful & textural belt with the Free People Lotus Belt.
We love the native fabrication and big collar in this wrap Tasha Polizzi Big Blanket Coat. If we were styling the photo, we’d ditch the busyness of the necklace that competes with the jacket collar and go for a less made up look; particularly the white fake nails… just sayin’.
This Anthropologie Ramos Satchel has the carpetbagger/ 70s vibe and would look supercute if you painted some flowers on it a la Burberry.
