Monique Lhuillier Fall 2013 Runway Trends & Review: The stunning Fall 2013 collection by Monique Lhuillier at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in New York has Red Carpet dressing written all over it – which celeb will be spotted in one of these glamous gowns?! The overall vibe of the runway, with a massive emerald rock back drop and mirrored runway, screamed elegance with an edge; and the collection was nothing short of that.

The saturated scarlets, emerald greens, blacks, and once again that creamy white, had a highly luxurious aire to them only to be worn with bold confidence.

Emerald Green is the Pantone color of the year and it is truly showcased here, and can compliment any skin tone.

Lace overlays, shimmering rhinestones, delicate fringe, and of course a supreme hold on draping truly make these gowns stand out. An emerald green gown came out with the same organic rock pattern as the runway’s background and jaws literally dropped – the impact was crushing! Besides the eveningwear, there are a handful of mirrored digital printed suiting separates that would be fitting for an elegant dinner party or any event without a black tie invite, and these prints somehow meshed perfectly into the whole collection. This balance is where the edginess meets the elegance.
