Nanette Lepore Fall 2013 Runway Review: Nanette Lepore gets a bit more moody and rich, rather than pop-art bright as previous seasons, for her Fall 2013 collection at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in New York. Blacks and army green have the most display, along with hits of teal in a fresh ikat/camo print, and cranberry in the digital floral prints, along with a touch of deep grape seen in the leathers. Considering the flashy and bright hologram-esque shoes and handbags, maybe the subtle palette is needed – the accessories totally amp up the overall look!

Great for work, parties, and mid-day brunch, the line is easy to wear – an attribute Lepore continues to maintain to have a well-selling line to varied age groups. Details are in the fit; well tailored stovepipe trousers, slim fitting leather shift dresses, a multi-seamed brushed wool blend dress with flare skirt, and slightly oversize (but not bulky) outerwear. There’s excellent detail in the placement of cut-outs and waist shaping; both give a sexy, feminine appeal.
