While considerably less flashy than it’s mainline counterpart Balmain, diffusion line Pierre Balmain saw Fall 2012 heading towards more considerably safe waters with a range of rethought basics with a streamlined, foundation building sensibility.

Amongst the mix stood sharp tailoring with a few fitted body-con dresses to boot and an assortment of more reality friendly pieces that are sure to get you in the day-into-night groove more than a 5-figure gala dress will, per se.

Although surprisingly spare, the outing did make for a must-have range of basic starting points you should be on the look out for as they should make for easy key pieces in any modern wardrobe.
