Although See by Chloe has remained a quiet yet increasingly salable & lucrative secondary line to high-end French go-to label Chloe, it comes as somewhat of a welcome surprise to see the offshoot finally make it’s runway debut after ten years in business.
And while other respective labels like Marc by Marc Jacobs have been garnering rave runway reviews over the last decade, it seems as though larger European houses have been reticent to shine a light on their often more affordable & attainable diffusion lines -hopefully until now.
With the likes of Carven and Cacherel gaining moment while cornering the same market and with the state of the economy as it is, it makes for a smart move to elevate See by Chloe’s status as the label continues to gain steam.
Fall 2012 may have marked a fresh start in several aspects considering See by Chloe’s more streamlined and ageless offerings compared to seasons past. That’s not to say the cool-girl allure was given the backseat, but that this time around a bulk of the collection featured noteworthy foundational starting points that were far from basic.
