Vera Wang Fall 2013

Vera Wang Fall 2013 Runway Review: Vera Wang took took the fabric mixing and print play to a new level of elegance for her Fall 2013 showcase at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in New York utilizing luxe textures and supersize, colorful jacquards for a look that was supremely modern and tasteful for the black tie dressing women out there.  Another big display in the line is the structure and extreme shape display.

Vera Wang Fall 2013

Starting out with black and nude numbers in very sculpted silhouettes, and gradually moving into cranberries, oranges, and edgy prints – still staying sculptural – the collection varied in lengths and skin showing making it available to a broad age group.  Peplums and bold shoulders reigned supreme, and maintained their wearability with most pieces having a cinched waist so as to not appear shapeless and weight adding to the figure.  The texture mixing is completely decadent with furs, huge herringbones, jacquards, soft wools, lace, sequins, and chiffon – could she possibly have missed something?!  Extremely feminine with empowering elements in the fact that every peice makes quite a statement and requires confidence in your form, each look was stunner after stunner.
