Model Carmen Kass Shares Some Fashion Tips While Designer Reet Aus Takes Eco Chic To A New Level
Retail Remedy: A fashion collection that self-recyles adds a new spin on being fashionably green
Everyday we hear recycle, recycle and more recycle. And now, Estonian designer Reet Aus had made it her fashion statement.
With the help of her well-known supermodel friend Carmen Kass, Reet presented her collection last Friday at Beyond 7, at the retail launch of edgy fashion showroom Showroom Seven last Friday in New York’s Meatpacking area.
The Reet Aus collection is made entirely of the recycled materials.
But, here’s the spin that makes this collection really edgy and intriquing…
We are promised that the designer will not create a new collection every two weeks. However, the collections she creates uses organic materials that will permanently recycle into new clothes.
Reet believes that this way we will save the earth and mother nature.

While I was there, I chatted up model Carmen Kass for a couple of her personal fashion tips:
- When in question, play on opposites like glamour opposing street sense –you can find it in the Reet collection.
- One should wear accessories for comfort.
The launch party was full of exotic Estonians, all admiring the novel take on fashionable recycling. Take a look at some photos..,
The aesthetic sensibility of Roland Levin is best described as the hybridization of the art of fashion and the world of fine art. His most eloquent means of expression is photography, as it is a heritage and simultaneously homage to his many forms of inspiration: poetry, literature, performing arts, moving image, and the visual arts. Roland’s creative voice is therefore best characterized by its diversity of breath and depth, both of which are inherently linked to his belief and method of existence, that “art is life and life is art”. The extension of life as art is further reflected though Roland’s work in high-end and luxury real estate in the New York market.
