While the styling may be a bit risky for the everyday man, there certainly are some very clean and modern pieces that can easily be adapted to any cool guy’s wardrobe.
Take away the runway theatricality and there are plenty of looks to think about here. Our faves…
Lanvin-
Ditching past season’s youthful plays on techno hiking garb and tricky 70′s era David Bowie dandyisms for a tightly edited parade of tunic tops, blouson jackets and classic mac’s made for a refreshingly sober and accomplished collection from Lanvin’s Lucas Ossendrijver.

Pants layered over shorts? Sporty nylon juxtaposed with fluid silk? Shine vs. matte? That was the kind of intense duality DVN set upon adding to his now signature use of color-blocking for a collection that riffed on the sportier elements of a man’s wardrobe while offering a genteel play on the many contrasts brought on by tradition and technological advancements.
The most impressive visual effect being that this outing may have been for the thinking man while it could at the same time easily appeal to just about anybody.

Shrunken proportions, a powdery palette of neutrals and a natty take on the quintessential geek-chic pocket protector made the clean-lined offerings from Carven everything but basic for S/S 2012.
