Oscar Fashion Red Carpet Predictions for what the stars may wear
Oscar buzz is out and building, but who will wear what on the red carpet? We have the trend forecasting
Ok, now’s the time to place your guesses on what the celebrities will wear this Sunday… start the dishing now!
First, we see these gorgeous gowns on the runway at Fashion Week, then we wonder what will they look like on a real person?
Well, sort of real, a celebrity at least who has been on top of her beauty game prepping for the big red carpet event.
The Oscar fashion parade is one of the most talked about and photographed Red Carpet events and, sometimes, one of the most indelible image of a celebrity that we photo print to our brain forever. The trend forecasting service Stylesight’s SVP of Trend Analysis, Sharon Graubard say, "The Oscars are always a chance to see the latest runway — even couture — creations, and we expect this year’s Red Carpet glam quotient to go a bit gutsier!"
"Long gone are the days of fashion faux pas, as legions of professional stylists make sure that every actress is perfectly tasteful and chic. But after years of playing it safe with draped goddess gowns and subtle tints of color or black, we think the stars are ready for a little bit of boldness. Expect to see more rich, jewel tones, with wines, purples, blues, deep emeralds, and ruby reds."

"Lamé is making a big comeback, in expected silver and gold, as well burnished shades of deep gold, copper and bronze. Cosmetic tints continue, but move into gutsier shades of peach, lilac and yellow, as well as frosty pale blues and mint greens, sometimes all blurred together in ombré or watercolor effects, or worked against bright accents."
Style References: Tommy Hilfiger and Diane Von Furstenberg
"Couture dressmaker techniques are explored to the max with ruffles, placed drapery, and spectacular beading. The newest will be pieced collages that mix lace, satins, velvets, and sheer insets, often intricately ruched. Silhouettes for gowns will range from ultra-spectacular structured hourglass silhouettes to the new long and languid silhouettes, evoking screen goddesses of the 30s. The new gutsy glamour is ageless, with both young starlets and established legends dressing like grown-up women who might be, say, a beautiful 35."
Style Reference: Rodarte and Oscar de la Renta
