Our collective feet are killing us from all the festivities…
It certainly was the wedding of this century (so far)! I don’t know about you, but I’m exhausted from it all but certainly don’t want give up on style.
Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, didn’t skip a beat in her polished, skeek "Kate Middleton style," when she left Buckingham Palace the morning after her wedding in some very chic and comfy black patent espadrille pumps.
We’ve tracked the Royal Wedding getaway shoes to a lookalike version of these patent leather Lanvin espadrille wedge pumps. And, we found a similar less pricey, yet equally stylish, version in these Sam Edelman Randall wedges.
A classic, yet slightly edgy, wedge pump is a must-have in my personal wardrobe as well.
There’s enough arch support to make them super comfy and if they are cut with the right angles, very chic as well.

The leather upper makes this style of espadrille wedge far dressier than a classic fabric espadrille yet just as clean and easy in its style. The slightly rounded toe and not too high heel height makes them timeless as well.
Kate paired her shoes with a floatly periwinkle blue short dress, that the Daily Mail reports is from the cheap chic retailer Zara, and tailored blazer, which makes this also a rather appropriate business look too.
For a more casual feel, try wearing espadrille or wedge pumps to dress up skinny jeans and T-shirt, or with a modern take on a 1950′s full skirt rather than flats.
You really can’t go wrong a shoe like this!
