As the charmingly drunkard, and definitely NOT age-appropriate, Patsy Stone on BBC’s Absolutely Fabulous, the coke-thin fashion editor with a penchant for body-con garb, Joanna Lumley forever cemented herself in modern fashion history. Through Stone’s fearless attitude, and ultra-glam power wardrobe (think pencil skirt Chanel suits in candy hues), her character exuded an admirable, yet over-the-top strength.

A pair of Dolce & Gabbana black patent stilletoes, worn in Absolutely Fabulous, size 38; together with a pair of black fish-net tights worn in ‘Birthday’, 1992, motorcycle scene; and letter of authenticity

Forever the bad girl, Stone, took full advantage of 90′s minimalism with a slight rock’n'roll verve that to this day still looks modern. Along with roles in The New Avengers, Trail of the Pink Panther and Curse of the Pink Panther, Lumley is also known to be an ardent political activist -making her all the more cool.
