Affordable Fashion Alert- Top 5 looks from the Zara Spring Lookbook
First Look: The Zara Spring 2012 Lookbook just arrived in our inboxs and I couldn’t wait to share them with you.
Zara is always a fantastic resource to get the latest trends at a great price in durable fabrics. Blend their pieces in with your designer pieces or wear alone, no one will be the wiser that you didn’t spend a fortune on an entire look- it’s affordable fashion with “real” designer style!
Like Butter- Can’t help but think about Faye Dunaway in The Eyes of Laura Mars every time I see a double-slit skirt, like this fluid butter yellow one. While the high slit is super daring, it can be a fun and flirty look for beachy days when styled simply, just like here with easy hair and barely there flats.
This may be what one could consider the “real” way to wear the look, but don’t forget the runway when it comes to fashion inspiration to get you thinking outside of the box. Zara is now available online; don’t forget our Shopping Guides too when it comes to finding on trend pieces at budget friendly prices!
Snapped- Also conjuring up an ode to the 70′s, this languid maxi dress reminds me of something model Lisa Taylor would have worn in a Vogue photo, back in the day.
On edge- A little punk(ish), a bit edgy- add a tie a belt and wear gold jewelry to make it look more uptown. It’s an updated alternative to a LBD.
Ladylike, yes- But far from prim & proper and never boring. The frayed edges soften and modernize this beige boucle coat, and the ice-colored sequin skirt is unexpected and divine.
In the Net- A very casual way to wear a tux, for sure. Yes, for sure, as this is a beachy-cool way to show some skin and “casualize” a tux. Please NO heels when wearing something this bare. Keep the look discreet and chic.
