Fall Trend Accessories Report- Snakeskin, Python, Croc and Stingray
The Top Seven Accessory Trends for Fall 2011 with StyleSight, Day 4
It's the skins… Snakeskin, Python, Croc and Stingray …
Snakeskin whether in print or genuine python, was clearly on almost every major designer's runway for Fall 2011 from Chloe, to Dries Van Noten to Prada, skin is back in.
From classic boots to aviator caps to full-on print, from Mod to Charlie Girl, high doses of snakeskin came in literally every iteration. Python, croc and stingray were used to add a luxe texture and pattern play on tricked out accessories in neutral, metallic and color-blocked colorways with a ferocious graphic impact via natural markings.
Even jewelry was amped with leather applications that give off a tactile warmth for the fall season including bracelets, cuffs, chokers…all tougher and juxtaposed with statement making hardware.
Channel the trend by adding subtle hints of skin, say a snakeskin belt over a chunky cable knit tunic or a knee-high boots that you'll be wearing for many seasons to come considering that this snakeskin trend easily coincides with today's heritage minded mantra and is thankfully a less risky trend to contemplate. – Naveed Hussain
