I’ll Have a What She’s Having: A flattering swimsuit that camouflage figure flaws and spotlights positives
Call it a cut out swimsuit or a monokini, the strategically cut out swimsuit is the swimwear must-have this season. Just take a look at Jennifer Lopez photographed by Mario Testino for Vogue magazine, pictured above, looking more than fabulous.
Not quite as covered up as a one-piece swimsuit and not exposing too much flesh as in bikini, the cutout swimsuit is your figure’s secret weapon for not quite baring it all on the beach and a particularly stylish way to hide Mommy tummy.
J.Lo obviously is toned beyond most of our imaginations yet the strategically placed cutout of her Gucci swimsuit can very well coverup a little belly pouch, stretch marks, or create an illusion of a more balanced hourglass figure by its graphic cut.

So let’s take some fashion tips from Jennifer’s look and try this season’s hottest beachwear trend by way of cut outs that expose what you want and cover the rest. A little extra tummy pooch? No problem, select a style with more fabric down the center.
Some love handles? A style with a more open center and closed side will cover them.
Built a little too boy straight for your liking? Create the illusion of hourglass curves with a darker color that visually sculpts your figure by its design.

Tan marks may get funky with this style of swimsuit, but you should not be doing much of that anyway, so stay well-lubricated with your SPF so you don’t risk looking like zebra.
