How to wear yellow- It’s THE bright trend color, but oh so tricky to pull off
I’ll Have What She’s Having: Sunny yellow that looks chic and not like a box of Peeps gone wrong
Personally, I’m usually not a fan of one of BIGGEST trend colors this season. Yet, I LOVE how this plunging V yellow dress looks on Italian actress Marta Gastini at Cannes earlier this week that I just may be a color convert.

Sunny yellow that’s oh so pretty and bright as a shade is often disastrous against your skin color and impossible to accessorize– the very reasons why I usually shy away from suggesting bright yellow.

Then we have Marta Gastini, pictured here, and SHE is wearing yellow in the most brilliant sophisticated and flattering way.

Let’s review styling tips on how to wear yellow right…
- First off, the line of the dress is clean and structured; not flouncey that can look juvenile or slinky that can look slutty.
- The deep plunging neckline shows just enough skin to keep the dress open and not have the bright color overpower her pale complexion.
- Now, what a fantastic necklace she is wearing! Bold metallic discs both fill the plunging neckline so it is no longer daring while adding a pleasant burst of texture via its finish. The necklace’s black accents work beautiful with her hair color.
- Adding natural luggage-toned platform sandals and a clutch bag keeps the styling effortless and far more chic than wearing white (please NO), matchy-matchy yellow, or distracting black.
How about some of these brighter than mellow, yellow dresses and metal disc necklaces?
