I've been vacating at my Western retreat and have suddenly become fixated with one of my collection of retro Hollywood ski and Western photos that I used in the decoration of our place out here.

It's an early photo of Marilyn Monroe on snow skis at the beach.

The color-blocking of Marilyn Monroe's swimsuit looks so fresh to me now.

Don't think it's the cutesy gimmick of the shot or the technicolor lighting that I'm focused on. It's what Marilyn is wearing that suddenly seems to look so modern and fresh to me.

Her color-blocked, high waist 2-piece swimsuit seems so of the moment.

And, yes, I'm grooving her T-strap wedgies too.

Just as that thought passed my mind, here comes the fabulously chic, slightly retro vibe of the new C&M by Camilla and Marc swimwear for resort/holiday 2012.
