  • Quick summer styling note: The 80s twisted head scarf is back, thank you Fendi!

I don’t know about you, well I do when I look back at those retro photos, but many a day/night in the 80’s was spent wearing a twisted head scarf. Or pretty schmatta, if you will.

Well, the cute little scarf continues to make a runway comeback. This time, thank you Silvia Venturini Fendi and Karl Lagerfeld for including the heady styling in the Fendi resort 2014 collection, pictured above.

It’s an easy look to try. My favorite twist is:

    • Hold the ends together and twist the scarf around
    • Shorter scarves can be tied off to the side or behind the nape of your neck
    • Longer scarves are best when twisted at the forehead for a take on a turban and then tied back at the nape of your neck.
    • Bobby pin in place.
    • Works best on day old hair or with a little hairspray so hair isn’t too slick.
