It's obvious, the SATC2 promotion begins... relentless fashion, giddy tales, and lot's of armchair accolades and disses all in anticipation for the May release of Sex and the City 2, the movie.

Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis (Kim Cattrall is appearing in a play in London) started the dog and pony show pr fest at ShoWest, the motion picture convention in Las Vegas.

Since so many of you love to follow the what the SATC stars wear and steal their looks for your wardrobe, we thought it would be nice to include some helpful hints on how you can make it work for you.

When you get it right, everyone notices...

For our money, Kristin Davis rocked it in a VERY flattering Oscar de la Renta dress with a fitted a bodice and full skirt that suits her curvy body perfectly. The dress has just the right embellishment to be on trend but not fussy and the right above the knee length flatters her legs. She looks elegant, polished, sophisticated, and ageless-- that's what looking modern and over 25 is all about!

Spring Trend How-To: Mixing prints and patterns is a top trend but how do I pull it off without looking like a lunatic escaping a fire?

I’ve been seeing reading all sorts of tips about how to mix prints but whenever I try to wear a combination of different prints, I always feel like a fashion disaster. I must look like a fashion mess as well since I feel like people look at me cockeyed.

Are there any styling tricks to combine different prints that I should know about to avoid looking like fashion victim?

Before there were the outrageous couture costumes, the high budget "Telephone" video, and a whole lot of thought to personal branding, Lady Gaga was Stefani Germanotta. She was a very talented singer and pianist with not a very terribly distinctive look other than looking like any girl, every girl, anywhere.

But boy, could she sing.

The question is would she have made her enormous impact in the music world as a stringy haired brunette with no discernible fashion style? Maybe not as easily or as quickly.

The point of this is to understand the whole package that makes up brand YOU!

We're not asking you to turn yourself into some fantastical diva like Lady Gaga, unless as Andre Leon Talley says, "you are Lady Gaga."

But YOU do want to put some thought in how you look.

Take a peek at early Lady Gaga before she became the new diva of pop in her early videos below. Think about the attention paid to create her image, which would be fair to say has soared over most other recent pop stars.

Lauren by Ralph Lauren is turning to a different push for Spring with what they call the brand's first-ever online fashion show.

It's kinda sort of a fashion show but more of a runway presentation with editorial talking points to simulate "real" front row chatter from magazine fashion editors including Marie Claire’s fashion director Nina Garcia, Harper’s Bazaar’s executive fashion and beauty editor Avril Graham, Cosmopolitan’s fashion director Michelle McCool and O, The Oprah Magazine’s creative director Adam Glassman.
