Once upon a time jelly fisherman sandals with cute anklets were all the rage for grown-up girls. Then the ubiquitous jelly shoe lay buried at the bottom of the bin of boardwalk novelty stores alongside beach sarongs that screamed the name of the beach du jour in iron-on type.
Wait up–jelly shoes are back and quite chic this time around!
I must say that the leader of the fashion pack for jellies are the
Givenchy Shoes Cutout Jelly Flats
in matte plastic. Now, if you think about it, quite a fashion steal to get a piece of the famed designer house at a not too insane price. Try them with some ragged cut-offs and boyfriend T-shirt.
Melissa Mystery Gladiator Sandals
, pictured here from Tobi.com, are another very cool and quite vivid take on a gladiator, and certainly stylish enough for the beach or city.
