Retail Remedy: Voilà, our tour of Paris holiday windows is wrapped up and here we have a quick look at some New York elegance by way of Bergdorf Goodman and Saks Fifth Avenue

Entertainment inspiration comes from he Ziegfeld Follies, Vaudeville revues and Busby Berkeley’s Hollywood musicals of the 1930s. There’s even an homage to Marilyn Monroe in Some Like It Hot.

The BG Hollywood theme continues with a window of a giant mirrored, rotating kaleidoscope for glistening holiday glamour. Whimsical wildlife continues to add a smile to the windows.

Bergdorf Goodman New York Holiday Windows- Men’s Store
Saks Fifth Avenue mixed vintage holiday with a dash of modern red carpet glamour. Old school animated windows are “ inspired by snowflakes, snow and how children interact with snow,” says Harry Cunningham, of Saks on the store’s blog. LED snowflakes adorn the facade of the store that faces the tree in Rockefeller Center.

Red carpet wish list gowns fill the other windows to satisfy more grown-up holiday wishes.
