Reality Check 2010- The Worst, Most Annoying and What We Wish Would Just Go Away

Talk Radio: Sharon & Brad let their hair down on the sludge of 2010

With all the focus on so-called reality this year, people are getting faker and faker, and even more bizarre.

Co-Hosts Sharon Haver and Brad Boles review some of the ridiculous and stupid fads in fashion, beauty, and style. Brad’s on a political tangent and Sharon can’t stand clones. Somewhere inbetween there’s behind the scenes reality show dish, insights about performance ski clothes in Jackson Hole vs Aspen, beauty and fashion tips, and some good laughs.

You may not agree with them, but you sure want to listen to this episode of FocusOnStyle- talk radio:

  • Sarah Palin, neither will be on her welcoming committee any time soon and are overdosed listening to someone else’s self-righteous morals. Brad takes offense of Plain poking fun of Michelle Obama’s stand on childeren’s nutrition with S’Mores on her reality show.

>> READ ABOUT: Wellness

  • General low class behavior and dimwitted arrogance and people branding themsleves on reality shows as being a low-life.
  • Staged, amped-up drama queen behavior being accepted as real life. No control over how things are edited as to how they played out in real life and people need to understand that it’s reality t-e-l-e-v-i-s-i-o-n entertainment. Brad has some inside poop here.
  • Reality TV "fashion" needs to go away- Forced fashion-less icons from ghetto fabulous to bunny bare, everyone who has ever held a script has a schamtta to push… thanks to a pr interns.
  • Orange skin tones- the ridiculous and right way to fake a tan… from Jennifer Lopez to the "Something About Mary" lady. Jergens and Dior are their favorite faux tan brands.

>> DON’T MISS: COLOR CHIC, How to Add Color to Your Life

  • Repunzel hair extensions- cheap hair extensions make you look, well cheap and Sharon can’t tell you apart. It’s not an age thing, it’s a wrinkle thing as very long straight hair exagerates your facial features.
  • Shapewear to help you wear clothing that you don’t have the figure to wear in the first place.

>> READ: How to Be A Stylist

  • Justin Bieber’s stupid hairdo.
  • Kim Kardashian’s over endorsements… let’s hope we don’t see a Kardashian tampon in 2011.

Here’s to a year of acceptance and individuality on every level! So, what have you had enough of this year?– Sharon Haver & Brad Boles

Sharon Haver & Brad Boles

Sharon Haver and Brad Boles have been collaborating for years.

They met on their first cover shoot for VOGUE Mexico, "back in the day," as Brad likes to call it. They continued to booked as part of fab fashion trio for photo shoots- Sharon as the fashion stylist, Brad on makeup, and the late North Rebis on hair. Either making everyday clothes look more exotic or couture even more fantastic, they became longtime friends on the other side of the scrim.

Sharon is the founder and editor in chief of FocusOnStyle and Brad is its roving editor at large and regularly seen on "The Real Housewives of New York City" as Jill Zarin's gay husband.

Still continuing to finish each other's sentences, but not always in total agreement, Sharon Haver and Brad Boles will have you in stitches and looking pretty amazing too. Watch Impromtpu Madness for video style tips and listen to Focus on Style Talk Radio for more fashion chat. They are presently writing a style book and developing a TV series.
