Stylish Cold Weather Boots- Bogs and Sorel chicify the chill factor
Traction + Style + Function = Solved
I always joke that I couldn’t live full-time in an environment where my shoe choice is based on traction over style- no matter how gorgeous the outdoors may be. So, I was super psyched to road test some stylish winter boot contenders, particularly when I was away having fun in the snowy mountains!
Looking fashionable is not always an easy task when it comes to frigid temperatures, but it is possible to find cold weather boots that don’t put function over fashion.
Well, I’ve met my match in these two styles of rather stylish cold weather boots that have enough weather-friendly bells and whistles to withstand the super cold Wyoming winter of my vacation home and appeal to my New York street style.
The Bogs Mckenna Boot have an on trend classic Equestrian vibe that’s 100% waterproof and comfort-rated from temperate to sub-zero conditions. It has a slightly distressed leather treated upper that doesn’t give off a rubber rain boot vibe… and, they’ve got beau coup traction too and are beyond warm.
Want a boot that you won’t slip and slide on city streets in that can attractively trudge to dinner at a ski resort?
The Sorel Lux Leather Wedge is all that, and with a HEEL! The top is wide enough to tuck in a pair of skinny jeans and the fabu traction sole has rugged-chic style appeal while preventing you from slipping down the street. Plus, their welted construction keeps out the cold and moisture.
Time to go for a winter walk, now which boots do I choose? See ya…
