What style savvy woman wants to wear a sun-sheltering hat that looks like it was plucked off the jolly rancher?

We all know that too much unprotected time catching rays can cause sun damage, wrinkles, and even cancer. However, most outdoor "fashion" items geared to safeguard our skin have been, well, unfashionable.

Until now.

In a time when The American Cancer Society reports that approximately 1.3 million people will be diagnosed with non-melanoma skin cancer this year, the Boulder-based hat and eyewear outfit Physician Endorsed has a Medical Advisory Board on its roster along with its hat designer.

Based upon fabric, color, and hat size research, Physician Endorsed hats provide 90-99 percent UVA and UVB protection and are packaged with dermatologist recommended sunscreen.
"The line has been tested by nationally recognized laboratories and has been given a sun protective rating of 50+, the highest value possible," says Elissa Marguiles, VP of Design.

Who ever thought that a sunhat would have a souped-up IQ?
