Beyond the Fashion Pack: Don’t miss the Jean Paul Gaultier exhibit

Follow my blog with Bloglovin See inside the Jean Paul Gaultier exhibit 'From the Sidewalk to the Catwalk' at the Brooklyn Museum Hard not to admit that this costume exhibition is close to my heart. And, then there was the 80s and on.

While we admire that the only glimpse of skin was saved for

Long before today's mega names associated with showmanship like John Galliano and Alexander McQueen, there was Gaultier. From indigenous garb to religious connotations to hi-camp athleticism, Gaultier has dazzled the fashion world with a heady tour de force of provocative, imaginative creations brought to life with a hearty dose of brazen wit and fierce execution. As we prepare for the Spring 11 Fashion Weeks, we reflect the unimaginable beauty of what was Haute Couture Fall 2010 Naveed Hussain has spent some time digesting the magnificence of all that is available for only a privileged few.
