Ann-Sophie Back- Back F/W 2012 in Stockholm

Ann-Sophie Back’s latest outing for her secondary, more affordable Back by Ann-Sophie Back line that was recently shown during Stockholm Fashion Week saw the designer jettisoning her more urbane minded monochrome, dark-hued tendencies for something a little lighter. Working with a palette of gray, black & white, she used a shocking electric blue to lift…

Very cool interview with dtripazcorazon… bet there are some things that you never knew… Very cool interview with dtripazcorazon… bet there are some things that you never knew…———-Name: Sharon HaverWebsite: FocusOnStyle.comName: Sharon HaverWebsite: FocusOnStyle.comEducation Business degree. Marketing major. Minor in law & some abnormal psych.I became a stylist:When an art director hired me for a 3-week shoot in St. Maarten. Upon my return to New York, word got out and photographers kept hiring me as a stylist. I upped my day rate ten-fold! I guess being a stylist pursued me rather than my pursuing it as a career. Cheap Monday is Really Cheap Chic- An Affordable Designer Brand To Wear

“Affordable fashion Alert: Love the Spring 2011 collection at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Stockholm & I’m wearing it now- so should you!Unlike many other less expense labels, Cheap Monday is more than decently-made, on trend but never trendy, offers a great fit, and doesn’t look like mall rat or big box knock-offs.If the price tag wasn’t so crazy cheap, you would never be able to separate their pieces from big name bridge designers (that’s usually the secondary line for most designers) and sadly, from some over-priced and over-rated designer lines.Cheap Monday began in 2004 as an alternative jeans line for men and women “who wanted fashionable jeans but didn’t agree with the increasing prices of the brands which were popular at the time.”"

Cheap Monday

Cheap Monday was born in order to offer an alternative for people who wanted fashionable jeans but didn’t agree with the increasing prices of the brands which were popular at the time. The first 800 pairs with the characteristic skull logo hit the market in 2004.Since then, the production has reached a new level in terms of pieces as well as in product range.Today Cheap Monday can be found in more than 30 countries, in about 1 600 stores around the world.DESIGNERS FOR THE SS-11 COLLECTIONOrjan Andersson & Ann-Sofie BackThis time we wanted to try out a different aesthetic: sparkling, extrovert and shameless. For inspiration we looked at Latin denim fashions, Italian diamonte and LA celebrity taste. To get a contemporary feel in the collection we have also worked with a cleaner, more fabric focused and minimalistic look. A combination of the exaggerated and the minimalistic creates the balance for S/S 2011.
