Very cool interview with dtripazcorazon… bet there are some things that you never knew… Very cool interview with dtripazcorazon… bet there are some things that you never knew…———-Name: Sharon HaverWebsite: FocusOnStyle.comName: Sharon HaverWebsite: FocusOnStyle.comEducation Business degree. Marketing major. Minor in law & some abnormal psych.I became a stylist:When an art director hired me for a 3-week shoot in St. Maarten. Upon my return to New York, word got out and photographers kept hiring me as a stylist. I upped my day rate ten-fold! I guess being a stylist pursued me rather than my pursuing it as a career. I worked steadily as a stylist for 15 years! At the moment:Renovation and home design is a hobby of sorts. There is something very satisfying about being hands-on in the creation of your space.

Fashion Week Roundup- Best of New York, Spring 2011

Naveed Hussain has been taking a breathe and pondering New York Fashion Week- not as piece by piece show, but what stood out above the NYFW fray and complexities of the week. — S.H.We’ve been doing a lot of whining at the pace and scale of fashion in this day and age of globalism and an unsteady economy.Fashion today has become a world-wide beast, it’s everywhere, and isn’t that a good thing? Shouldn’t this mean we are all sitting at home with a closet full of the best we can buy? Okay well, that is possible, but we think it’s coming at a great cost in the long run. Most importantly, there is too much fashion too fast.Fashion is now rotating on a two month scale and frankly, by the time the items hit the shelves, we cannot even remember them. There was a time when we could spot something a mile away and tell you it’s label.Today, we look at the calenders each season and cannot pronounce half of the names on it, and now you can supposedly buy fashion on the Home Shopping Network & at J.Crew. This was not possible ten years ago and it is still not today.>> MORE: Fashion Shows and Runway Reviews

Donna Karan- Spring 2011 Lighter, Softer and Very Beautiful

Most hair stylists will tell you that at a certain age we look better with softer edges and a lighter color. Well, Donna Karan is celebrating her 25th Anniversary in fashion this year and she has all but softened and lightened the look for Spring 2011.>> SEE DONNA KARAN FASHION SHOW PHOTOS- COMPLETE SPRING COLLECTIONOnce the almost shock of the all sand color palette passed, it was clear that the hallmarks of an urban wardrobe were still present, but this time the city looks were meant to travel to a more relaxed place and time. The “Raw Romance” collection may indeed be lighter and more dreamy than previous Karan collections but in no way does it lack the customary expert drape and flattering proportion that is unmistakably “Donna,” so much so that a diehard black wearer may actually consider a paler, gentler look for spring. >> MORE: Fashion Shows and Runway Reviews

Hamptons Happenings From Blowouts to Baggy Pants, Color Blocking, Rompers, Super Saturday Shopping and Polo

Sweeties, Breathless Brad Boles has been roaming about with more dish to share… S.H.Meow, meow, it may be Gay Night but there are some be-atchy boyz out there..Gosh, I know I can have a sharp tongue but I never make the obvious rude attempt to talk about someone behind his or her back when they are actually right smack in front of me. So tacky.I started my evening off dining at Almond in Bridgehampton with my ever-fabulous friend Lauren Arpel who is no stranger to the world of beauty and some other friends. Then the cattiness ensued…To my shock, I was recognized from “The Real Housewives of New York City” by a pack of be-atchy queens! The place was all a flutter with crazed hairdressers and their tired comments. A table within earshot was LOUDLY dishing-rudely-about ALL the RHONYC ladies. Some mad queen even demanded to know where Lauren got her blowout and really started snipping his scissor tongue at all of us! Get a life, Blanche! And, we’re outta there… We made it out of there within an inch of our lives and their Tom of Finland tanks, then headed to Madame Tong’s in Southampton where we bumped into Mary Alice Stephenson– the fab fashion consultant. She joined us for a few rounds on the dance floor. You must know that I can’t dance from Season 2… what a sight it must have been, but I had fun!
