Ralph Lauren Collection Spring 2013 Matador On The Mind

Ralph Lauren Collection Spring 2013
Ralph Lauren Collection Spring 2013 Ralph Lauren Collection Spring 2013 Runway Review: Dont call it a costume affair as this landmark designer of easy-on-the-wear style has yet to disappoint  Opening with a selection of full-on looks with an ambiguous Spanish vibe (was it Spain, or Latin America on the mind?) the designer delivered a series of serious looks with an assortment of style notes to consider. Shawls, ponchos, Matador jackets, here, they all got the full-on Ralph Lauren treatment. Head-to-toe, each exit made for a convincing argument on the enduring sartorial cues and effortless romance of Spanish style influences on fashion at large. >> MORE: Ralph Lauren brand Always a pragmatist, Lauren topped said looks with berets and toppers of all

Nanette Lepore Spring 2013 Color Splash With Every Body Shape In Mind

Nanette Lepore Spring 2013 Runway Review: Spring 2013 has Nanette Lepore written allover it with splashes of color, classical-gone-psychedelic prints, and killer swimwear capsule. The bright peaches and pinks, against jade green and citron, balanced with and oyster grey give this line outstanding Spring potential!  Flirty and modern make a good mix here with cut-out neckline, zip front dresses in oversize, bright baroque prints, black and white gingham plaids in cropped jackets and fitted ankle pants, and short, waist cinched silhouettes. >> MORE: FASHION SHOWS AND RUNWAY REVIEWS  The faded effect on the prints caught my eye as something new to look out for come Spring; this was also seen at Rebecca Minkoff, and both designers executed it well.  Instead of colorblocking, we have

Anna Sui Spring 2013 Playful, Solid Collection With De Rigueur Rocker Edge

Anna Sui Spring 2013 Runway Review:  The most darling, goth girls rocked down the runway to a Ramones soundtrack at Anna Sui's Spring 2013 show, reminding us that rock n' roll will never die and it can indeed be pretty.  Very pretty. Sui remains consistent with her edginess by showcasing ripped stockings, metal studs, leather, and chain collars; and the sweetness comes in a slightly Victorian dollhouse way with pale pinks, intricate laces, poofy dresses, and jade pendants.  Then let's throw in a splash of 'Where The Wild Things Are' - those adorable monster ear, bejeweled hats - and we have a wild collection! >> MORE: FASHION SHOWS AND RUNWAY REVIEWS Unless you are seventeen and living in the Lower East Side, I wouldn't recommend wearing

Reem Acra Spring 2013- Striking. Stunning. Sexy. Period.

Reem Acra  Spring 2013 Runway Review: Reem Acra showcases a stunning Spring 2013 collection of body conscious, evening wear that is nothing short of drop dead sexy.  All women should aspire this Spring to be escorted someplace with a need to wear one of these gowns; it will create a paparazzi following and have you feeling like a sexy Bond girl. A solid half of the collection had me lusting for pieces for upcoming Holiday season rather than airy Spring 2013; but the other half of buttery neutrals and pale, glittering sequins is perfect for Spring.  And I'm certainly not complaining, I would be thrilled to wear any of these dresses ANY time of the year, to be perfectly honest! >>

Rachel Zoe Spring 2013- Hollywood Style Straight From New York Fashion Week

Rachel Zoe Spring 2013 Runway Review:   Rachel Zoe unleashes her fierce, chic self onto the Spring 2013 runway and it's really like every model strutting is a version of herself.  And not in a "I'm-so-fabulous" way, but in a "I've-got-style-DAMN-look-at-me-now" way; and it's great!  For all you chic urban ladies out there, headed to the Soho House and Hotel Bel-Air, dress yourself in Rachel Zoe and the night is yours. >> MORE: FASHION SHOWS AND RUNWAY REVIEWS  Impeccably soft, draped fabrics in petal pinks and jungle greens, sequins and paillettes, tailored cropped pants OR gorgeous wide leg paper-bag versions, the elongated blazers come in an array of colors - all amazing - and belted is a sure cincher to show off that waistline. I can go on and

Vera Wang Spring 2013 Brims With Fall Hues and Lush Fabrics For a Seasonal Spin

Vera Wang Spring 2013
Vera Wang Spring 2013 Vera Wang Spring 2013 Runway Review: A rather opulent Spring 2013 collection was seen today at Vera Wang and it rang with rich notes of Autumn. Yet, it translated into fitted, short Spring silhouettes which made it very new and awesome. When would you think to wear jewel tone brocades, heavy gold beading, and thick lace?  Not necessarily Spring! >> MORE: FASHION SHOWS AND RUNWAY REVIEWS But the Bermuda shorts, snug and sleeveless peplum shells, short, closely fit sheath dresses, and sleeveless jackets all give the luxurious fabrics and colors a warm-weather shape to fit into. Vera Wang Spring 2013 This collection has much more of an eveningwear edge to it, of course with brocades and jacquard how would it

Jenny Packham Spring 2013 Runway Review: An elegant array of all things sparkling and shimmering made their way out on to the mirrored runway for Jenny Packham's Spring 2013 collection of gowns, sheaths, and an occasional dressy suiting. The rhinestones, beading, and sequins were overwhelming but graceful due to their being paired with soft neutrals and faded sorbet colors. >> MORE: FASHION SHOWS AND RUNWAY REVIEWS  For an evening event, anything formal, this woman is who to turn to as the entire collection has something catering to every age and taste level whether you want to show extra skin, extra shimmer, and a splash of color, or if you prefer more tasteful coverage, smaller beaded panels, and a warm shade of grey. >>MORE: Jenny Packham

Michael Kors Spring 2013 Runway Review: Michael Kors.  What more can you really say about such an iconic, all-American, ready-to-wear designer and collection as a whole?!  Every season it is an array of classic looks consistent with the strong brand image; this my loves, is success.  You know what you are getting season after season but with new twists each time, nothing to make you disown the brand, and everything to keep you intrigued and buying more! >> MORE: FASHION SHOWS AND RUNWAY REVIEWS The seasons twist is a 60's mod feel, with color blocking, a bit of shine, and large metal hardware belts to cinch the waist.  Stripes - yes.  Bright solid yellows, reds, greens - yes.  Gold metal buckles, clasps, and zippers -

DL1961 Denim Spring 2013

DL1961 Denim Spring 2013 Runway Review: The DL1961 Denim To Make Your Next Cult We all have our denim brands we are devoted to and follow like it's their last world tour, which I commend and adhere to myself (I am devoted to AG, Rag & Bone, and Lucky Brand - period), but I dare I say, there is a new (fairly new) denim cult to follow, and it's DL1961.  It's as simple as this: it's all in the fit.  For those curve-a-licious girls in particular, this is THE brand for you.  On that note, I would say for those without any hips and an ass, this may not be your spiritual denim calling. >> MORE: FASHION SHOWS AND RUNWAY REVIEWS  DL1961 more or

Zero + Maria Cornejo Spring 2013 Combines Structure With Draped Slouch For A Modern Edge

Zero + Maria Cornejo Spring 2013
Zero + Maria Cornejo Spring 2013 Zero + Maria Cornejo Spring 2013 Runway Review: The Zero + Maria Cornejo Spring 2013 line is a mix of structure and draped slouch, with a very modern edge, and dark, some seemingly Autumnal colors - with a final splash of bright white. Zero + Maria Cornejo Spring 2013 Cornejo keeps up the scuba-meets-day-wear trend, and showcases asymmetrical, slouchy dresses in bold graffiti-esque prints. >> MORE: FASHION SHOWS AND RUNWAY REVIEWS I am particularly in love with the scuba material and curved structure it adds to the line with the variety of jackets and dresses; very particularly the zip front tube dress - incredibly sexy. There are layering pieces a plenty with vests, cropped leather, and soft bombers. Zero

Chado Ralph Rucci Spring 2013 Futuristic Color Blasts To Exquisite Construction

Chado Ralph Rucci Spring 2013
Chado Ralph Rucci Spring 2013 Chado Ralph Rucci Runway Review: Ralph Rucci of Chado once again made a case for himself being the country's most important other Ralph in the fashion game Never one to follow the mandate for trends, one of America's closest allies with the world of Haute Couture, Rucci centered his signature sculptural silhouettes around riotous shouts of unabashed color. >> MORE: FASHION SHOWS AND RUNWAY REVIEWS From ultra-deluxe fabric choices to meticulously crafted and conceived silhouettes, proportions and patterns, the maestro's Midas touch was in full effect. Perfect proportions that were uptown ladylike (in the least stuffy way possible) looked fresh in a range of shocking hues, but some of the most wearable options for the long run came in

Quite a departure indeed, but in his hands, the notion was strictly polished. The make-up and hair was flawless and unmistakably refined, from the red lips to the played-up eyes. It didn't look heavy… which made for a pitch-perfect duet. Elegance
