Shot in signature black & white, the campaign serves as a visually stimulating reminder of just how easy to wear and classic Mr. Armani's sartorial vision is. First Look- Spring 2012 Fashion Ad Campaigns

While designer collections make their runway debuts months before they hit sales floors, it's not usually until we see the ads circulate that we get a clue to the bigger picture behind the season's story and along with that a dynamic dose of dreamy inspiration. And judging by the Spring 2012 ads that have hit the web so far, it's clear that many of our favorite designers went in several directions- there's no clear-cut set of trends, instead it's a come as you are sort of moment. A 'do-your-thing' kind of season. From Prada's retro beauty's (shot by Steven Meisel, above) to Balenciaga's candidly cool girl (below), there's something for everyone to take inspiration from for the season ahead. -Naveed Hussain Chanel, photographed by

Angelina Jolie is one smart cookie when it comes to an evening wrap that’s really meant for travel

I'll Have What She's Having: A cashmere wrap that does double-duty from red carpet to staying snuggly on an airplane Finding something to elegantly top an evening gown is no easy matter when, realistically, you're not on the glamourella circuit. MORE: I'll Have What She's Having Angelina Jolie did just that on her way to the "In the Land of Blood and Honey" after party.  The navy White + Warren cashmere travel wrap, $295 at Saks.com or at whiteandwarren.com,

Glamour Girls- “TWILIGHT- BREAKING DAWN” Premiere

Kristen Stewart and Ashley Greene, the starlets of Twilight's "Breaking Dawn," are being touted as striking a fierce fashion face-off against each other at the movie's recent premiere and while we think that's just a bunch of Hollywood hype for you, we have to admit that in our books, Stewart's ensemble(and date!) clearly make her the winner. For one, Greene's(above & below) strapless scarlet floor-length Donna Karan number with a swirling lace insert effect ages the young actress as its a tad too formal while having a loose, clumsy silhouette. And compared to Stewart's J. Mendel column dress with its devore velvet fabrication in a rich abstract texture with sheer panels and a come-hither slit, it also brings to mind

“The Fashion World of Jean Paul Gaultier” Comes to Dallas this November

Barbès collection
Besides the now iconic cone bra's he outfitted Madonna for in the early 90's, the highly controversial Hasidic-inspired collection for Fall 1993 and the many in-your-face ethnic influenced collections ripe with rigorous tailoring that have followed, fashion's original enfant terrible, Jean Paul Gaultier, will forever be a designer who's done much more than that in our books. Long before today's mega names associated with showmanship like John Galliano and Alexander McQueen, there was Gaultier. From indigenous garb to religious connotations to hi-camp athleticism, Gaultier has dazzled the fashion world with a heady tour de force of provocative, imaginative creations brought to life with a hearty dose of brazen wit and fierce execution. Possessing the kind of game changing substance that informs one on the sublime delicacies that high French fashion will
