If anyone needs further proof as to how much Italian men love women, look no further than this: Rome's mayor, Gianni Alemanno acknowledges that the historic cobblestone city streets destroy high heels and "has announced plans to begin a makeover on Via del Corso, one of Rome’s central (shopping) streets.
