Helmut Lang

NYFW Trend Spotlight: Clean Camel + Vibrant Red at Helmut Lang Fall 14

It's hard not to love the clarity of clean camel mixed with vibrant red, our trend spot from Helmut Lang Fall 2014. What makes this bold pairing work? The simplicity and elegance of the cut's disctinctive classic + modern vibe. Not a fussy element in sight, just the perfection of color and cut. I loved the volume of this pairing at Paris Fashion Week street style last season, and love the streamline of this even more. Try it yourself! >> MORE: FASHION SHOWS AND RUNWAY REVIEWS And TREND SPOTLIGHTS  >>> CLICK: Helmut Lang  in store now... [raw] helmut lang [/raw] Photos: designer via

Helmut Lang, A Mastery of Minimalism Continues for Spring 2013

helmut lang spring 2013
Helmut Lang spring 2013 Runway Review: Helmut Lang never ceases to impress with clean lines, impeccable seaming, that mod-boxy shaping, and techy textures.  And so again we have those very elements for the Spring 2013 collection. Here's the big "is-this-really-Helmut-Lang" factor: kaleidoscope floral prints and brocades!  Yes, it's a fact.  I am not sure how I feel about that element of the collection - the prints are executed well on stiff, sheen poly/nylon, and certainly are more modern versus girlie, it's just so un-Helmut.  The bright orange thrown in is a fabulous pop, the pale blue is not so hot, and the shoes are killer.  This collection will be a go-to for layering jackets...isn't it always?! >> MORE: FASHION SHOWS AND RUNWAY REVIEWS Helmut Lang spring 2013

Oversharing with dtripazcorazon- Interview with Sharon Haver: Founder and Editor in Chief FocusOnStyle.com

More than you need to know about me... well, sort of... Very cool interview with dtripazcorazon... bet there are some things that you never knew... ---------- Name: Sharon Haver Website: FocusOnStyle.com Education Business degree. Marketing major. Minor in law & some abnormal psych. I became a stylist: When an art director hired me for a 3-week shoot in St. Maarten. Upon my return to New York, word got out and photographers kept hiring me as a stylist. I upped my day rate ten-fold! I guess being a stylist pursued me rather than my pursuing it as a career. I worked steadily as a stylist for 15 years! At the moment: Renovation and home design is a hobby of sorts. There

Rad Hourani Fall 2010 Fashion Show

Runway Review: Rad Hourani has earned a cult-like following thanks to his razor sharp focus and concise direction making his Fall 2010 outing a must-see for the fashion forward downtown set In three short years Canadian based designer Rad Hourani has earned a cult-like following thanks to his razor sharp focus and concise direction making his New York Fashion Week Fall 2010 during outing one of the weeks must-sees for the fashion forward downtown set. What sets him apart from obvious futuro-goth predecessors Helmut Lang and Rick Owens is that Hourani's pieces are straight forward, less avant-grade for avant-garde's sake, yet just as strong, which is exactly what makes him so special. >> Check out our complete fashion show photos
