Martin Margiela

John Galliano for Maison Margiela. Discuss.

John Galliano For Maison Margilea, "Artisinal" 2015
John Galliano for Maison Margiela I have mixed feelings about this. To start, I'm a Margiela fan and probably wear a piece in some form or another, from one of the collections, almost every day, starting with the 14 pairs of shoes & boots that are in the front rotation of my closet. John Galliano for Maison Margiela 'Artisanal' Show 2015 I love the understated and edgy appeal. I love the non-showiness of pieces that withstand time and always look current. I love the deconstructed "secret" white threads that have the same appeal to me as a red sole or giant gold monogram have for others. John Galliano for Maison Margiela 'Artisanal' Show 2015 Then there's John Galliano, a showman

MM6 Maison Martin Margiela Spring 2013 True To Its Avant-Garde Ease

MM6 Maison Martin Margiela Spring 2013
MM6 Maison Martin Margiela Spring 2013 Runway Review: The ♀ Another vision of Maison Martin Margiela is billed as a take on femininity, but from this house one will never expect feminine to be defined as girlish naivety but rather clean, yet ironic pieces for a woman with a more big city style sensibility who craves some edge in her everyday pieces. >> MORE: FASHION SHOWS AND RUNWAY REVIEWS Truth be told, I wear A LOT from the Martin Margiela brand. Either the more conservatively priced and casual MM6 Maison Martin Margiela line, or the signature Masion Martin Margiela collection (the boots are my personal obsession). Fashion Meets Interiors- Martin Margiela designs La Maison des Champs Elysees Hotel in Paris

La Maison des Champs Elysees Hotel by Martin Margiela
There's no secret around here at FoS that I'm a huge Martin Margiela fan. There's a minimalistic, yet futuristic simplicity of perfectly pared down, yet well-designed pieces that are always timeless, yet still maintain an avant-garde edge. So when a favorite label fashion expands it's aesthetic to interiors, like Rick Owens or Jean Paul Gaultier, I'm sold... well, more so if that winged back chair was perched in my living room. Let Richard Nahem take you on a tour of the super stylish hotel in Paris. -- S.H. I have always loved designer Martin Margiela's obsession with the color white. And while Margiela retired as chief designer from his eponymous label a few seasons ago, the brand continues to flourish with his design signatures. Maison
