Chado Ralph Rucci Spring 2013 Futuristic Color Blasts To Exquisite Construction

Chado Ralph Rucci Spring 2013
Chado Ralph Rucci Spring 2013 Chado Ralph Rucci Runway Review: Ralph Rucci of Chado once again made a case for himself being the country's most important other Ralph in the fashion game Never one to follow the mandate for trends, one of America's closest allies with the world of Haute Couture, Rucci centered his signature sculptural silhouettes around riotous shouts of unabashed color. >> MORE: FASHION SHOWS AND RUNWAY REVIEWS From ultra-deluxe fabric choices to meticulously crafted and conceived silhouettes, proportions and patterns, the maestro's Midas touch was in full effect. Perfect proportions that were uptown ladylike (in the least stuffy way possible) looked fresh in a range of shocking hues, but some of the most wearable options for the long run came in

Jason Wu
Brad Boles is taking some notes on runway beauty for Spring 2013. Here are his thoughts thus far. Oh, yeah, we got him to throw in a few how-to makeup tips just for you too! Jason wu  >> MORE: FASHION SHOWS AND RUNWAY REVIEWS Jason Wu once again seduced us with a winning collection and flawless make-up with his Spring 2013 outing.Jason Wu S/S 2013 sees the designer expand his repertoire with noirish elegance while citing Helmut Newton as a touchstone for inspiration. Quite a departure indeed, but in his hands, the notion was strictly polished. The make-up and hair was flawless and unmistakably refined, from the red lips to the played-up eyes. It didn't look heavy… which made for a pitch-perfect duet. Elegance

Tracy Reese Spring 2013 Vibrant Color In Strong Yet Feminine Silhouettes

Tracy Reese Spring 2013 Runway Review: A confident urban woman will be pleased to be wearing the colorful new Tracy Reese collection come Spring 2013. And with First Lady Michelle Obama wearing one of Reese's dresses at the recent Democratic National Convention, how can one not take additional pride and pleasure in wearing one of her pieces? The line has punchy colors and is softly draped for a look that stands out strong but remains feminine. >> MORE: FASHION SHOWS AND RUNWAY REVIEWS I personally only own Tracy Reese dresses, and there plenty of bright shift dresses to choose from here, but I think after seeing this I will be switching my purchasing to the pants and double lapel jackets for Spring. The printed

Jason Wu Spring 2013

Jason Wu Spring 2013 Runway Review: It's time to be thinking about your upcoming Fall wardrobe, stocking up on sweaters, boots, and the perfect outerwear; but save some of the budget, let it burn a hole in your pocket, because the best advice you are receiving is from me telling you must prepare yourself to buy as much of the Jason Wu Spring 2013 as possible when it hits the stores!!  You may be cold and coat-less this winter, but you'll thank me come Spring. >> MORE: FASHION SHOWS AND RUNWAY REVIEWS Edgy / old world.  Bad-ass / vintage.  A precious bombshell.  It seems these things aren't normally mixed, and if attempted the end results don't marry well; but not with this Spring

Diane Von Furstenberg Spring 2013 Blends Soft Princess Worthy Dresses With Google Project Glass Tech

DVF Spring 2013 Runway Review: The queen of iconic, feminine, ready to wear is back!  Diane Von Furstenberg unleases her bold Spring 2013 collection and takes it up a notch by introducing Google's Project Glass eyewear as the newest techy accessory. Project Glass uses technology to stream information to your eyes, rather than onto a screen of a phone, and pairing one of these uber-tech shades with your colorful DVF shift dresses takes on some bizarre Minority Report meets 5th Avenue edge. >> MORE: FASHION SHOWS AND RUNWAY REVIEWS Back to the clothes!  The classic wrap dress takes a back seat in the line to colorblocked shift dresses and soft pants.  Dropped lapel jackets in an array of colors, some with metal beading, other

Rebecca Minkoff Spring 2013 has a Bali vacation in mind

Rebecca Minkoff Spring 2013 Runway Review:  "I want to be on a Bali vacation!". That is all I could think of during the Rebecca Minkoff Spring 2013 collection of breezy, gently hued, beautiful clothing. >>MORE: Rebecca Minkoff It's absolutely perfect for a chic island getaway, and if Bali isn't on your upcoming agenda, its do-able for the office, but even more do-able for brunches, museum Sundays, and dusk outdoor concerts. The ombré and faded prints were the highlight and I, you, we all need to get those printed pants that fade out toward the hem!  The conversational prints are so fitting for Spring and for the lightweight fabrics - hibiscus flowers, Latin inspired handkerchiefs, and flower clusters. >> MORE: FASHION SHOWS AND RUNWAY REVIEWS  For the non-vacation

MM6 Maison Martin Margiela Spring 2013 True To Its Avant-Garde Ease

MM6 Maison Martin Margiela Spring 2013
MM6 Maison Martin Margiela Spring 2013 Runway Review: The ♀ Another vision of Maison Martin Margiela is billed as a take on femininity, but from this house one will never expect feminine to be defined as girlish naivety but rather clean, yet ironic pieces for a woman with a more big city style sensibility who craves some edge in her everyday pieces. >> MORE: FASHION SHOWS AND RUNWAY REVIEWS Truth be told, I wear A LOT from the Martin Margiela brand. Either the more conservatively priced and casual MM6 Maison Martin Margiela line, or the signature Masion Martin Margiela collection (the boots are my personal obsession). There is a certain never trendy, always edgy, but extremely wearable and timeless aesthetic that makes these clothes, accessories, and

Helmut Lang, A Mastery of Minimalism Continues for Spring 2013

helmut lang spring 2013
Helmut Lang spring 2013 Runway Review: Helmut Lang never ceases to impress with clean lines, impeccable seaming, that mod-boxy shaping, and techy textures.  And so again we have those very elements for the Spring 2013 collection. Here's the big "is-this-really-Helmut-Lang" factor: kaleidoscope floral prints and brocades!  Yes, it's a fact.  I am not sure how I feel about that element of the collection - the prints are executed well on stiff, sheen poly/nylon, and certainly are more modern versus girlie, it's just so un-Helmut.  The bright orange thrown in is a fabulous pop, the pale blue is not so hot, and the shoes are killer.  This collection will be a go-to for layering jackets...isn't it always?! >> MORE: FASHION SHOWS AND RUNWAY REVIEWS Helmut Lang spring 2013

Cushnie Et Ochs Spring 2013 Runway Is All About Clean Chic

Cushnie Et Ochs Spring 2013 Runway Review: Very clean, chic, minimalism seen at Cushnie Et Ochs.  And a splash of Blade Runner-esque necklines and cut-outs, which certainly can't go wrong on this uber modern Spring 2013 line. >>MORE: Cushnie Et Ochs There's no fuss, no bulk, no added nonsense to this collection which is something to be appreciated these days when the fashion market is so saturated with designers who tend to one-up each other with how many studs or chains or sequins they can fit on a single garment.  In this case we are dealing with white, black, sea green and a touch of deep purple - that's it. An excellent, close fit goes a long way when dealing with such

Yigal Azrouel spring/summer 2013

Ease there was in the super clean collection that, from profile, played like a modern riff of Bonnie Cashin's 60s non-fussy vibe, echoing the natural theme with colors named Ice, Quartz, Cactus, Optic and Jet.
