I’ll Have What She’s Having: I’ve been mesmerized by Bianca Jagger’s style since Studio 54. This is post kismet… or some odd coincidence of If You Could Read My Mind.Just as Brad Boles and I were reminiscing about Disco Sally and Studio 54, this photo of the eternally gorgeous Bianca Jagger, dressed in a green caftan by Roberto Cavalli, turns up in my inbox! Please Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood but as a Native New Yorker, 54 and Disco Nights were part of my coming of age.Enough tired Studio 54 music puns, but it is hard for me to not make the association as seeing Bianca on the Studio 54 dance floor or lounging on a sofa are iconic style moments that will stay in my mind forever.

‘Follow the Model,’ Miss J’s Guide to Unleashing Presence, Poise, and Power

Reading “Follow the Model, Miss J’s Guide to Unleashing Presence, Poise, and Power” by my old friend, assistant stylist / sidekick, former partner in bettering the crimes of fashion is just like sitting around and talking to Alex, ummm Miss J.Well, we’ve already gone through this he has as many names as he has fabulous steps as a runway coach. He is Alex to me as his real name is Alexander Jenkins but others also know him as Jay. Then there is J. Alexander from his modeling days and Miss J to those who know him from “Americas Next Top Model.” The book will explain…”Follow the Model” is a steady stream of consciousness. A long and winding journey that is colored with words so dense with visuals that you feel like you share each experience with him short of his hilarious in-the-flesh impersonations, that is. If he weren’t on ANTL, he’d probably be on SNL.I’ve never been very good at working with people bereft of personality life is too short to be bored to death. I prefer to surround myself with creative-minded people who are inspirational and entertaining. When I was a stylist, my posse may have had a bit too much personality, if that was ever possible.
