Chloe Spring 2014 made for a remarkable collection rife with classic, ultra girly propositions with a grown up senisbility
Opening with an array of soothing desert tones, the Chloe girl for Spring 2014 was clearly in a calm, collected state of mind, save for the Parisian label’s signature insouciant femininity.
Designer Claire Wright Kellar put an emphasis on meticulous draping in matte desert khakis, golden hues and rich Persian azures in silk cloque and crushed plisse. While bare shoulders, knotted details at sleeves and the hem of a particularly sweet pair of white dotted shorts kept the outing playful and punctuated a casual, beachy feel..
Gone were season’s past cool girl signatures replaced with a languid, nonchalant attitude that made the collection a standout in the realm of wearability. And with that neutral color palette and studied sophistication, we’re betting that Chloe Spring 2014 will standout as one of the season’s go-to collections for those on the hunt for pieces that are seasonless, effortless and not so in your face recognizable. Which, seems to be a pretty remarkable ideal this day & age.
